I would expect the immortal Crazy Casey Stengal to get it, but it surprises me how many folks (70% of owners) who either don't get it or don't bother to change the default settings.  I was hoping to hear from one of those owners on this thread.
I shoot for a 66% success rate. That may qualify me as a "don't get it guy".
But I always change the defaults and fiddle with the settings as the season goes on. I am a mild believer in "hot" players and "cold" players. So I see if any players are having a better OR worse success rate and change accordingly. I check my teams every other day, so I often don't have the luxuory of adjusting for A+ arms etc..

There's a couple old timers that are better at  stealing bases that they should be.   I always suspected this was because:
  •  a high speed rating somehow positives affects the decision tree
  • owners were actively managing which catchers  they steal against
  • being the trail guy on double steals

i cannot support any of those assumptions with data.
I actively manage my stealers.  Some i always have at 5, others I change depending on the arm of a catecher.  And with D- catchers, I send everybody!
