I just posted a new topic that semi relates to this one. I think HBD has talent over-concentrated at the top of the draft. real life MLB MVPs are all over the spectrum, 3rd rd, 4th rd, a 20th rd, an undrafted guy (from Cali, so he wasn't int'l) and a few int'l guys (the Rangers signed 3 int'l MVPs by the way: Sosa, Juan-Gone, & Pudge). I'm going to look at World Bench MVPs, and I expect them to be much more concentrated at the top of the draft than their real life counterparts

I've speculated about this in other threads.  Don't bother looking.  HBD's best players are always either top-half first round draft choices or high priced International free agents; they don't come from anywhere else.  Short answer, HBD owners want it that way.  No one wants to spend money scouting and have a first round bust while another owner doesn't spend and finds a Jose Bautista in round 3.  It's not as dynamic as real life, but face it, the customers would ***** if there was more randomness to this game.
