I wish I knew why he had such a down year. Believe me it was extremely frustrating. He was batting below .200 for about 2/3rds of the year.

Give the guy a dozen more hits/10 more walks and he's where he was 2 seasons ago.    Basically on-base one more time every 7 games.    It's not like he lost 300 points in OPS.

Anyway, what I'm saying is "With the exception of the superstars who constantly crank out .950 OPS, it's not uncommon for a player to miss his career numbers by .075 OPS or so."   It happens to almost every player.
