Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Baltimore Bodie Broadus's Franchise Profile

Merged world.   So, yeah, that sounds about right.
117 wins and no division title the first season? Now thats something crazy.

But to answer your question, yes, I've seen better. This team (certainly not mine) currently has a home record of 60-5:

These are the best exhibits for MWR there are.  I wouldn't go anywhere near a world like that.

I agree with silentpadna..for sure a world I would not go in.....  and looking in the world chat...all he does is mention it....Whom ever said "Look at me" before was spot on.  Why have others toot your horn, when you do it all yourself!   But with 115 and 117 wins..and no title in that world...why even open  your mouth about the home record?  just my opinion......

Sounds like a team ripe to be bounced early in the playoffs by a 82-80 squad.

I might not be the most experienced owner, but I was in a world for one season that had the same WS winner five straight seasons, and four of those were the same runner up. I was one and done. So I know what arctic legend is talking about.
Yeah, I'm in a world like that now, where the world has allowed a guy to trade for multiple top 10 picks, win the World Series, AND have 30 million leftover to sign internationals. It's called caray and I won't be returning.

My bad for agreeing to the swap

It's a problem with merged worlds.   As someone noted, it's usually only the strong teams that survive.  However, not all worlds are created equal.   So, that constant 110 win team you brought over from World A turns into an expensive 78 win team.   And owners bail.    They replaced 14 owners in their first two seasons.   With a team at 80-20, you'll find more who are more than willing to find another world.

hoggett would probably do the world a favor by throwing some games.

Seriously.   At the 100 games mark, he has a 21 game lead for the 1 seed.    Seems like winning 125-130 is a gimme.   If that 59 win team goes UNDEFEATED, they're at 121.   More likely, they close out in the mid 90s.    hoggett would be better off, for the world, slamming on the brakes and winning 103.   Which would involve throwing games.    Do it against the teams that are out of contention, so not to affect the playoff races, and potential new owners won't see a team that finished 35 games ahead of the 2nd best team.

That's fine.  I won't count on seeing the * beside your name.  Let me know if you'd like to be replaced early and I'll start looking.

And by the way, thanks for talking to me about it man-to-man first (or computer to computer, or whatever the hell we do here).  I appreciate the courtesy.

He's not the only "smart guy" out there.  It's not like that's a new strategy or anything.

The owner you are talking about is one smart guy. His trades offer fair value with several number 1 picks for a high draft choice player. He does not keep FA talent in the 30's and he ignores the draft scouting to spend his budget on the international market. Perhaps instead of ******* about it you learn from it? The object of the game is to build a dynasty, of course if you don't want to compete against a group of strong owners perhaps the public league teams would offer a easier challenge.
I have found that the standard "several number 1 picks for a high draft choice", to be that he receives a stud guy that continues to anchor his lineup for 3 stiffs that do quite well in AAA. Anyway you gave it away when you said that he ignores draft scouting, he's fleecing people and he gets away with it.

Advance scouting and high school/college scouting are not the same. 3 for 1 trades that involve pot ML starters are not in fact not a swindle. He does not play in any other world to my knowledge ,loves the game and frankly out works most owners in the world. That sir is not cheating it's the American way, you may not enjoy competing against him due to the fact that in order to beat him you will have to out work him but don't dimish him. Just understand your not up for the challenge.

I play in another world that the commissioner has a super stud team with the same formula but he works the draft angle and ignores the international F.A.  market. He does not cheat he out works most of the world owners. Funny how so many people struggle with other's success, why not learn from them ? Winners don't always cheat lot's of the time they just work harder and play smarter.

What is holding you back?

Funny Hoggett was in the Caray and found it to hard to win with his style and bailed leaving  a crippled team that another owner has turned around. Winning in a world full of world champs is pretty hard not everyone can do it. Sound's like you joined a league that is too competitive for you. Next time  take more time before joining a league to see who the owners are it may save you from getting in over your head.
