Looks like the strategy now (for some anyways, me included) is pick weather you like college or HS more, pump $20 mill into it and only draft guys from that side of things. Some years, you'll get gold for 3 rounds, some years you'll end up with dirt in the top 15. It's interesting.

That being said, it's all the more reason why I wish, in the first year of taking over a team, you could max out college and or HS to $20 million. Rather then having to punt your first pick with said team.

With my new St. Louis team that I took over I have 4 picks in the top 100. I can punt the 5th overall for next year but not the two supplemental picks. If I had HS or College or both at $20 I could rebuild this team real fast.

That's just whining.  14 million is enough.  Sure you might get unlucky.  You might get unlucky at 20 million too.  Deal with it.

Course it is. I gotta do something while we wait for 2 new owners so I can defend my title in Riley. :)

this has been a viable strategy for a long time

I've been zero in one or the other forever.   Just doesn't make sense to split 10/10, 14/10, 14/14 or anything like that.   And I think 18/18 is a lot of scouting for a few players.

That's a good point. I almost feel like, with the new fuzzy ratings, I could do the 20 mill HS or College, drop entrily out of IFA, save the money for 'probably won't sign' second or third round guys and still be able to maintain a good farm system. My FOMO takes over though when I think of an IFA of 0.
