This is fair. I think the only thing I was butt-hurt about at first was the fuzzy durability. I feel like everything else can be worked around and can still give an overall feel for a player. If I draft a pitcher that loses 10-15 projected points off of control, stamina, velocity, VsR,VsL etc I don't mind too much. The thing that got me riled is that my first ever 'fuzzy rating' draft pick was a SP with 26 durability that dropped to 14 when I drafted him.

I could see the same frustration if someone picked a position player who drops to 50 durability after the draft and has projections to gain 2-3 points in that category.

That being said, as Mike and damag have mentioned, it was an easier pill to swallow when my sandwich pick was good and my 2nd rounder looked like he has potential. Its just learning a new system. Nothing more.

I've seen a number of guys I had rated 1.1, 1.2 going 5 - 10 ($18-$20M budgets). Makes rebuilds with picks in the 8 - 15 range a heck of a lot easier. I'm consistently getting 3 - 5 guys that appear ML worthy. I think ranking the draft may be the most enjoyable part of the game for me. I do agree about the P durability issue though, biggest gripe I have regarding the draft.

I'm picking 5th in a draft tonight. There are really only two players that appear to be "gimmes". Before I felt there was ZERO chance I'd get either of them. Now I'm thinking there's a shot.

And I'm in that draft too, picking 6th. And if those two players you're seeing are HS players, I guarantee I don't see them at all. So if you get one of them, you're not getting one of my ranked players.

I can live with that.

Who were the 1 and 3 guys you were looking at?

Daaamn. At the 6th pick, I got my top overall ranked (HS) player. First five owners drafted College players, none of whom I saw. Suffice to say, I can live with that.

Yeah, after your post, I checked to see who the teams in front of me picked last year. All college guys. I figured my chances became much slimmer in getting my 1-2. This was #1 on my board(taken 3rd). When the other guy signs, I'll post him. He was taken 1st.

Thats the only thing I miss about drafting college players. Neris looks like he could throw in the bigs tomorrow in a pinch.

In HS I saw only one potential must-have SP.

I had Neris ranked 1st on my board, was happy to get him at #3. Also got my 5th Ranked at 68. No complaints on the draft, went mainly pitching hoping to get a few that'll help in few years, maybe get a DiTR bump from one or two in the future.

This is the guy I had ranked #2. I might have done better getting the guy I got. Player Profile: Thomas Thayer - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports

Maybe i am just thick but i have yet to figure out how to set up my picks so it shows who i want in what order. I am also getting tired of this thing drafting me so called starters with only three pitches cause from all i have see a pitcher with high stamina and only three pitches is best slotted in long relief unless his stats are truely dominating

First, be careful with weighting and number of position/pitchers. I'd recommend at least 10 "any".
Second, use the "rank players" feature.
