Yeah this is dumb.

He's probably got 5-10% more effort as well. Did you promise 25 minutes?

its a different game now, getting to the top is easier, stating there is harder

You can't just knock people off anymore. Look at it this way, he is still more than twice as likely to sign with you even though he has put in more effort.
With the effort almost equal (the 250ap difference is nothing compared to the cumulative effort we have in), shouldn't a high A+ vs a struggling D+ be way more than 2x the chance to sign?
You trying to debate 2.0 vs 3.0 again. But you must admit their is still a difference and that is the reason why you are behind!

This is what I am curious about. Am I way ahead or just a little ahead? The reason I started the thread is because the prestige multiplier used to be about 1.5 per letter grade. So me being A+ vs a D+ would mean my effort would have a multiplier of almost 3.5X his. It has been said previously that prestige value did not change. Just looking at recruiting actions (not AP) for our equal effort I would expect that multiplier to push my opponent to the lowest of "very low" consideration. AP factored in (where my opponent is mathematically at a maximum of 400 AP to my 150 AP) it seems that the AP is worth way, way, way more than any of the other efforts if he is still listed at High to my Very High, given the HUGE prestige disparity. This means that 250 AP is worth the same or more than 3.5x recruiting actions. That is crazy to me but that is why I started this thread. I am not complaining, I am trying to learn this new system.

If AP is that valuable then other actions are pretty much meaningless if you can max out points on a player. It would mean that you should be aiming for 6 openings every year, taking walk-ons to ensure those 6 openings, so that you have the maximum AP to play with at all times. Anything else is just handicapping yourself.

I think prestige is roughly half of what it was.

Yikes--that would be quite a hit. Is this based of data or gut feeling based on experiences so far? (no judgement either way, just curious--I make a too many decisions based off of gut feeling haha)

Snafu : I doubt your analysis is right. Something does not add up. I think you can hang with A+ starting at B-, regardless of AP... I am pretty positive C+ and down would be dropped to moderate.

When I recruited at a D- school, B or better prestige would make me their little female dog.

Just straight calculations Zorzii. That is the max AP he could put in and I know I went all in.

Assuming you promised a start and you were 5 cycles in when you posted, so he is maybe up 400 to 150 on APs at that point. He is just barely hanging on, by the skin of the teeth, IMO, if everything you've said is accurate. I'd be comfortable rolling with him, you're likely up somewhere in the 80-20 range, as far as signing odds go. Maybe better. If you wanted to be sure, if you have more APs available, you could probably knock him out of signing range moving up to the 50 area for a few cycles (I have no idea where you are in the first session, or how many cycles you'll have left before he signs).
