I worry about Moses, even at that range. His usage is the lowest for any first round pick outside of Rodman. It's hard to find a second round pick that goes with him. His passing is pretty bad for a top 10 pick. He's also a poor rim protector for the money. Maybe you'll get lucky and find one of the two point guards that might be available in that range, but then your usage is still pretty low. I'm wondering if Moses is among the worst first round picks in terms of average wins. Does somebody know?
what on earth are you talking about? 4pts of usage at 54.7% efg, 44 creb, 80 D, 100% eligible at either big spot, high FTA, low PF - why are you worrying about assists from your center? and blocks aren't that big a deal
How many other first round picks are only 4 pts of usage? Not that many. How many top 10 picks are? Only Dwight.
at this cap level finding efficient usage shouldn't be difficult even into the 4th and 5th rounds

"Also, to maximize his flexibility I'll have to have a PF who's effective enough at SF to slide down defensively"

I've been doing this since the very 1st team I built.. Stop sharing secrets! Lol! Kidding

I've always used the 10-11 season for Dwight in this league, but we'll see how the next couple rounds go for me.

But I'm among those who think Moses could have / should have gone higher this time around. I think he's a pretty legit top 7 pick and he's certainly gone higher at this cap level. His best season gives you a start on a lot that's important in building a competitive team: boards, defense, reasonably efficient inside scoring. Add in his oreb% and his FTAs (which he makes at a better clip than any comparable big man) and he's positively unique in the sim. He's the only player I seriously considered other than Dwight with the #7 pick.
I agree with you-- But, personally, I think the top 12 players are pretty clear- and that includes Rodman... I'd also say the difference between 6 & 12 is slimmer than the difference between 12 & 13... So, that basically means every #12 (and 11) pick is going to show extreme value- and if a player outside of the top 12 is drafted before then, then obviously, there is going to be great value available after the 12th pick....

I like DH's chances of building a championship contender with KG & Kawhi.
Magic is a great 2nd rounder. I like a different season than the 1 or 2 typically used... Magic & Duncan make a very nice start to the draft for Cjok

I like building around Wallace & Gobert... It will be interesting to see what u do the rest of the draft.

Interesting start, tarheel. I assume Giannis is playing SG?

Marvelous start on boards and defense. In the hole on everything else. Kinda tough to put off drafting offense until the third round, but sam just won the title so I shouldn't doubt him this early.

Tentative plan is for Giannis to start at SF and Brand to start at PF and back up Giannis at SF. Giannis playing a good amount of SG is definitely still a possibility, though.

Didn't draft a really high usage guy until the 4th round last time

the good news is, thomcat may have just saved us from imminent disaster. (Jordan/Nash/rebounder) the bad news is, I'm giving him 5:1 odds on the championship. Wademond has its virtues, but that's scary.

Nash is basically the perfect guy to pair with Shaq. And of course, the guy I veer away from picking at the last possible second is the very next guy to be drafted. It's the story of my NBA sim life.

Edit: My draft board was Donyell, Nash, Marion, and Deron. And there they all go.

Had Nash #1, but if you took him to pair with DH, which I thought would happen, then Donyell. In any case thought they were the 2 best options to pair with either Shaq or Dwight.

Agreed. I've been wanting to try Deron Williams in this league, but he's not quite the right fit for a paint scoring monster. And there just isn't another Donyell after the second round.
