You don't expect them to take away a vital link on the team office page. That move was ignorant of how people use this site.

Which confirms pjfoster13’s diagnosis... user error.

An indicator is not the mailbox.

The mailbox is the thing that has the mail in it.

Just yellin’ at clouds, over here.

Easy to tell the people who have never built a thing other people have to use in this tread.

Supposed to be addressed sometime this week.

The fix went out today. The bell won't turn green, but a red notification icon will appear over the bell. Unfortunately, it will only indicate for messages sent from today forward, not old unread messages.

Does it?
I just sent you a site mail. Do you see a notification?

I take this as a clear indication there is not a single competent computer programmer working on HBD.

There is 0% chance it would be hard for the indicator to be turned on if there are any unopened sitemail messages.

About 15% of men are red/green color blind. Meaning they can't see, or it's very hard for them to see, a red indicator.

Experienced programmers know to stay away from red as an indicator, unless it's big enough to catch the eye no matter what color it is.

I hope it's a very big indicator. And it was tested on mobile devices as well as bigger screens.

Also, because I'm on a roll here, it would take maybe 1 or 2 hours to write a small program that would send an email to everyone with an unopened sitemail to let them know. Anybody think anyone running HBD gives a **** enough to do that? I'm not confident they do.

I get an e-mail with all sitemails received -- that can be set up in options. When you have a sitemail now, the bell doesn't change color, just a red circle with number of new messages appears on a corner of it. It's a little small, but visible. I have had troubles sending sitemails to multiple recipients, but that's a separate isue.

When you have a sitemail now, the bell doesn't change color at all, just a red circle with number of new messages appears on a corner of it. It's a little small, but visible. Thanks, I took a look at my account settings. Now, how many of us have looked at those since the day they signed up? I hadn't. Totally forgot or had no idea the option to forward sitemails to e-mail was even there.

Yeah, and it's a little hard to find now, too. Here's the link to set it:
https://www.whatifsports.com/account/UpdateAccountInformation/

After clicking the box and clicking Update Account Info, you can then update your e-mail address, if desired.
