I haven't read through this thread but if we're talking about promises and weird stuff..

I had this guy who I promised starts and minutes to where I forgot to start him the first 5 games of the season and his WE went UP. He started 23/31 games and his WE went up 5 points. One of the strangest things I've seen in my playing days.
