Question - Can you twist a player to a season prior to 1960?

Yes, believe bheid answered this in the classified thread

One more question, can you twist to the nominated player of an other owner? or is it exclusive?

For a fictitious example, assume that someone from the 1964 Angels (that I nominated) played for the 1967 Red Sox (that PedroCerrano nominated). Can any other owner draft that player, twist him and use the 1967 Yaz? Or can only PedroCerrano use the 1967 Yaz exclusively?

I'm pretty sure this was asked - there are no restrictions on who you use as teammates. So in your example, Yaz can be rostered by somebody else if he's a legal teammate of a twisted player.

I believe those players picked in the team (1st) round are completely exclusive though.

I think we need bheid to weigh in. When I read "There are no restrictions on teammates", I assumed that meant no restrictions. I couldn't find any mention of "exclusive" regarding the high-priced player each of us locks up.

I picked Kenley Jansen under the assumption I could roster Kershaw.

No, asdlfef, there was an example where someone twisted a player to the 1985 Cardinals and could pick Tudor as a teammate. Any player may be chosen as a teammate. You cannot use a selected player to twist to a different season, however.

calhoop asked this question, posing the example of twisting a Cards player to 1985 and taking Tudor as a teammate; bheid's response was "I did not put any limitations to twisting and teammates so, yes this could happen." Perhaps bheid should confirm this.

There are NO restrictions to players being Twisted or teammates chosen. NONE! Nada! Zilch!

Only Twist you canNOT do is Twist the same player to a different version/same season. Then you just need to draft that version in the first place.

I thought we could only twist players in the player draft (round 2 to the end). Did I get that wrong?

That part is correct. As for your initial player (highest priced player on your team), you have to use that season.

"Pick a Team. All 16 Teams are exclusive. Same Franchise Teams selected must be at least 20 years apart. Take the most expensive player from that roster and use that season of that player. (Example: 1985 Cardinals = John Tudor)"

From the '67 Red Sox - Bucky Brandon $2,899,150. For a new total of $11,883,816.
