Is there a serious flaw with strikeouts? Topic

The 10% increases the usefulness of all star players, yes, not just hitters. My point was it benefits users who like to draft favorite players or at least players they know, and it helps add to their enjoyment of the game.

If the goal were realism, we'd have to deal with fatigue differently as well as injuries.

I didn't mean to take the focus off the strikeouts, but I think the business model of the game plays a role in any potential changes and not just an attempt to enhance realism for the sake of realism.

Yeah I am 100% behind no injuries in Sim Leagues, because that would totally destroy a team if I draft a 400 inning pitcher and he gets hurt, how the hell would anyone replace that? It's not like real baseball where I could trade for a starter, bring a guy up from AAA, or just use "next man up" since there isn't a next man, or any avenues for replacement.

Making it as realistic as possible without adversely affecting the competitive value should be the ultimate goal.
