I watched portions of the trial and especially the medical portion from both sides. It was open and shut. By the end there was no doubt that the verdict would be swift. I was not surprised.

when you looked at the composition of the diverse jury you found a bunch of smart and humanistic people. The foreman is a white man who is a corporate auditor. With a job like that he suffers no fools.
the result was a fait accompli.

And now the results of how the American people viewed the outcome - from USA Today.
1. Democrat leaning - 85% agree.
2. Independent leaning - 71% agree
3. Republican leaning - 55% agree

id like to know who are the 15% of Dems that disagree and who are the 55% of republicans that do agree.

The reading of the verdict was must see TV. The Chauvin was shocked that he lost. His eyes went big and kept furtively shifting left to right and right to left. His disbelief was so great that I actually felt some sympathy for him in the moment.
The judge had a smile from ear to ear.
The jurors were strong and stern as they each confirmed their vote and the foreman had the resolute voice of a leader.

Justice was rendered and that was the whole of the law.

the 3 guilty verdicts will be seen as one do the max is 40 years although it is possible the judge could go beyond the guidelines.
I can’t imagine that his sentence will be less then 30 years we will all find out in 8 weeks.

I felt no sympathy for Chauvin. He had the look of someone who's never been held accountable in his life. Get ******.

Looking over the comments, though; one would think the right wing is evil and the left walks on water.

He got time in jail for manslaughter. Good call.
