That will require extra research, preferably done by the Commish. Each player that played for multiple Franchises will need to be checked and listed to which one they belong to.
Example: In 1980 Al Cowens played outfield for both the Angels and Tigers. It was his 1st season for both clubs.
Can I use his combined season or only his partial season?
If the Tigers OF gets chosen and the Angels OF doesn't, is his Angels version off the board in the 5 round player draft?

He will goto whoever he started the season with via Baseball-reference.com, he will not be available to any other teams. Same goes with all incoming rookies, whoever he starts the season with, even if its only 1 game, thats who gets him.

No, you have to draft Mets pitchers to get seaver, but he wont be eligible.
Tom Seaver would be ineligible since he is still in the league in 1980 and there will be no clones.
If you draft the Mets OF, you can only draft an OF from the Mets 1970 roster. There may not be a good fit from there, but you have 3 different teams from which to pull 1 guy, they just have to be from the same position set.
