I think the new rule does what it’s supposed to. The rule DOES allow you to reduce the minutes of your guys and bank fatigue if your opponent is going to tank. You just can’t also tank without announcing it.

I’m open to ways to improve the rule though.
I think 50% both ways makes infinitely more sense than 10 minutes. 10 minutes is idiotic. Also it should be “reasonable citizens’ best few players” and not starters.

Plenty of times in any playoff race with overtime, foul trouble, matchups, etc. I might go up or down 20 on my high minute guys. 50% is clearly doing something.
Yeah I’m fine with both of these changes.

Unless anyone objects we will change the rules to reflect them.

Also I'd like to recommend a rule for BOWIS. Might be too late for this one, but I think it would be great to not just snake draft the league, but snake draft the draft positions for each league. So the owner drafting 24th in the first league drafts 1st in the next league, then back to 24th in the following and so on. Trades still allowed.
If we want easy, then random makes the most sense. If we are okay with something more complication and want to allow for coaches to control their outcomes a bit more:

Auction

$XXX at the start of BOWIS. Draft #1 you can bid whatever you want for whatever draft slot you want. It is an auction so if you want #1 you are going against anyone else who wants #1. End of draft #1, people have however much money is left.

Continue into each BOWIS draft. It allows people a set amount of money to spend as they desire for drafts they consider more important or less important, slot wise. It adds some fun and strategy and probably wouldn't be too complicated to sort out. By draft #2 you may not have any money left and only get whatever slot is left for you moving forward.

Second rule is the jhsukow special. If LeBron or Giannis are coming off the bench, got to accommodate them.

I love this idea. Definitely not doing it this season, but I’ll float it around before next year.

Love the auction idea. I wish there was some was to give everyone a pick in different areas and I don’t think just flipping it so the person at 24 then picks at 1 in the next draft is that option.

Just an idea: Since there are 6 leagues, we could do 6 sections (1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20, 21-24) and make it so that each owner drafts in each section once. Every owner would draft as high as #4 once.

Lotteries could be done where the first step is placing 4 owners in each section and then a second step of randomizing those owners from there. Then maybe do the Autodraft league anywhere but the last league so that there’s more mystery as to where you’re picking (if it was last, you’d know which 4-spot range you’d be in due to process of elimination)

Very against this.

This would keep people in the middle for all six drafts while others get to alternate between ends. To me, the top of the draft is usually a slight advantage over the end, which is usually a slight advantage over the middle. It’s all pretty close, but the suggested rule would give two users three number one picks while a bunch of people would be stuck in the middle six times. I think random just makes a lot more sense.
I don't get "very against" but whatever. Both ways are random, the difference is one way ensures variability in the randomness and the other does not.

I guess the one issue with that would be that the people in the middle never get any variability?

Yeah not a fan of the interchanging snake draft order. It is not presenting a solution holistically. I would rather take my chances with random selection each draft.
