The next step is for someone to finish the challenge.
Hint: Jason Marquis went to high school in this borough of NYC.

Staten Island, New York
Jason Marquis, major league baseball pitcher, pitched the Tottenville Pirates to two consecutive New York City Public Schools Athletic League titles, in 1995 and 1996

Tottenville High School is located at 100 Luten Ave., in Huguenot, Staten Island, New York. It is located within walking distance of the Huguenot train station of the Staten Island Railway system.

The school houses many sports teams, plus many different and unique after-school clubs and activities. The school offers "College Now" courses to qualifying students, and also houses an Academy of Finance, a partner of the National Academy Foundation. There is also a "med-tech" program for students interested in medical studies. The school is also home to a United States Marine Corps JROTC Unit. There are many other programs and opportunities available for the school's 3,800+ students.

The school day for an average Tottenville student begins at 8:00 A.M. and ends at 2:40 P.M. Most students have seven classes and a lunch period.

I still can't figure out why this is in the article.

  • The New York Metropolitans of the American Association played baseball on Staten Island from April 1886 through 1887. Erastus Wiman, the developer of St. George, brought the team to Staten Island where they played in a stadium near the site of the current-day Staten Island Yankees stadium and the Staten Island Ferry terminal.

In the 2004 presidential election Republican George W. Bush received 57% of the vote in Staten Island and Democrat John Kerry received 42%. By contrast, Kerry outpolled Bush in New York City's other four boroughs by a cumulative margin of 77% to 22%.

Wow, I thought our flag wouldn't look like a 12-year old made it on Photoshop.

I bet we are the only city trying to build a park on top of what used to be the world's biggest landfill.

Confusing statement. I think most people have heard of Staten Island... I'm sure your going to tell me I'm wrong, but people who don't live there just think of it as part of New York. Why do the burrows of New York get special recognition? It's all part of the same city and like most big cities different parts of it have their own feel, but it's still New York. When I lived in Carrollton Texas I didn't tell people that. I told them I lived in the Dallas area since Carrollton is a suberb of Dallas.

I think Wyoming is the most unknown place of 460,000 people. We have over 500,000 people.
