We'll be seeing a lot of this garbage early in the season. This team is just not playing well right now. Of course, tannermcc will probably surprise again and Bowling Green will turn out to be decent. Nonetheless, it's clear that our team is not working efficiently.

Unfortunately, this is about what can be expected...particularly when playing a ranked team. I'll have to play with our distributions. I suspect I'll go with a blank slate to start off the year, now that my initial attempt at setting it up has failed.

I guess we won this by keeping our turnovers to a minimum. Our defense is sooooo much worse than it was last season.

I'll turn down the distribution for French.

We win, and it's a big deal and a close game, but I want to point out that Montero is really playing incredibly badly. I can't count on him at all. I'm actually going to switch him out of the starting lineup...he's just not suited for it.

Subject:Mid-term Grade Report - Big Trouble
Sent:08/11/2009 2:43AM

Mid-term grades just came out. I've attached the report to this email (should be below, but you know how I hate computers so I'm not sure if I did it right).
As you'll see, we've got some major issues. If we don't get these bozos into Study Hall, we may be playing short, plus you know how Dean Wermer has it in for 'student'-athletes. I highlighted the potential problems:

Knipp will come around. The other two, I bumped up their study hall time in practice, considerably.

This was a win we had to have - LSU is playing with 6 men, total...the fellow with 14 minutes is a walk-on. I played uptempo. Oddly enough, so did LSU. We won on fouls and FT shooting. As usual, his scoring was dominated by the same two players.

This is a huge win against Kentucky, coached by Maryland's old coach, oldresorter. Holcomb kept us in this game and then Koualeski and Jones sealed it. Holcomb has responded very well to being put in the starting lineup. French provided some good rebounding, but I wish he'd shoot even less.

Player of the Game: Holcomb - 7 rebounds from a SG, 3 assists and no turnovers outweighs the extra 4 points from Koualeski.
