Did dubrightway say he is taking a team? His only post here is that he would look the teams over. Given that both abandoned teams will be taking SP with at least a few of their picks, we should probably alternate.

Sox, any chance you'd consider making AAA 6/4 Average instead of 6/2 Below Average, for the first season only?

josh, I'm unclear as to what the point of making AAA different for the first season would be. It's not like the talent pool becomes any deeper in season 2...

The difference would be an improved chance of getting one half-decent SP who could throw 120-150 IP, so I wouldn't feel I had to use four of the five current picks on starters just to get 950 or so innings in the rotation. Long-term, the team would be better off going with some position players among those five picks. But doing that without AAA help would make for a long, lousy season of blowouts.

For the second season, we'd have a chance to add at least one SP who would be a big upgrade on those available now. One below average SP is not likely to help much. The suggestion might impact position players too much to change, and if so fine. Just trying to find ways to make this workable.
