It would be kind of nice if WIS actually hid your teams before the league starts, with maybe the LM being able to see rosters for compliance reasons.

It definitely seems like that was the intent with not making the team names clickable from league office, and they just left a loophole.
I didn’t even realize this loophole existed until somewhat recently. I preferred it that way as well. Only DH should be able to look just to confirm teams were built within the rules.

Running thoughts...

I like the Tarheel season, at least as much as Jamie does.

Totally agree with Rob on Steelers team. WATCH this clip!!!

Ben's team is ...how did we let this happen?

This might be Jethroes best team and Darius Miles might be the worst draft in Savage history.

That was my experience with Mason Plumlee too, Dutch.
Just for the record, it's Hutch, not Dutch. Though Dutch is a fantastic nickname!

I did feel bad/wrong about slagging so many late-ish SF-ish players, so I took another look after the call and I guess I'd walk back my sniping at Plumlee a little bit. He's fairly flawed; then again so is basically everyone in that group.

You don't have to worry about his TOs or FT% quite as much since he is so low usage, but the fouls definitely still hurt. At least he's low minutes so he won't foul out like Tree. Stocks are real nice regardless of which seasons you use, though on-ball defense is less consistent. Frustratingly he actually posts a decent A/T with OK fouls in an SF-eligible 16-17... and that's the one where he kind of forgets how to finish.

I maintain that top of the 6th is slightly high for him, especially on a roster that already has Nance. But dh put a great squad together.

i just found out recently as well

i have no way to police it accurately so its kind of an honor system thing in regards to pulling teams out and switching to "easier" worlds...if thats even a thing haha

i regretted that pick almost immediately....i agree top of 6th is too soon and also that 22-23 is really the only legit starting season of his...at the time i was adjusting to a new plan and felt like he was a safe choice with his flexibility...i would have ended up taking dale davis(who i got a round later anyway) if i gave that pick more thought so it kinda worked out

only listened to my part so far but im excited to listen to rest...having 4 of the best savages breaking down the teams on video is such a treat..thanks for doing this guys

not surprised there wasnt too much to say or get excited about with my team...something does just kinda feel off...not really liking my builds either...could be a long season

Hey guys - I've been slammed at work but will get my teams in soon. Like dh I only watched the portion of the video about my team. Really awesome that you guys were able to get together to do that! You guys slammed the one pick that I regretted most myself - Ben Simmons. I do think the pick there needed to be someone who could provide some D and rebounding at the other guard spot next to Lillard, but Simmons just has too many negatives. Big O in particular would have been such a better pick, though candidly I had forgotten how much of a D boost he got with the update a year or two ago (my Savage rustiness showing). I still can't believe Pippen and George went the two picks right in front of me (though of course Pippen never should have been there to begin with).

Anyone who's low on my team is likely to be right, as I had no time to build out full teams while I was drafting and I'm likely to make the team even worse by not optimizing the builds very well. I think if I finished top half I'd consider it a success, but bottom half is more likely.

Is getting everyone in by tonight an attainable goal? Looks like we’re missing 5 but that includes 20ks who said he’d be ready by today, and Robusk who I think is ready but waiting until closer to lock to enter. So really like 3 maybe?

I’ll be in tonight.
12/7/2023 3:01 PM
tarheel, 20ks and ash: I assume all generally ready just waiting for the green light maybe?

missing have been sitemailed

waiting on a few roster corrections as well

a few noticeable season choices...

jethro trying to lose robusk money by using 00-01 kobe instead of 07-08

jh opting for 12-13 kidd instead of 06-07...guessing it was a usg thing

i know its low mins but im surprised rubnsly didnt try to use 22-23 steven adams...no 21-22 either

not sure why ysw didnt use 98-99 zo...i think its his 2nd best season...could have paired nicely with 68-69 wilt, who i like better than 62-63 wilt

no sweet shooting 95-96 stockton jcred? im guessing the 60 def(lower stl% too) had something to do with it

kinda surprised pbandj didnt use 01-02 brand and that beefy 14% oreb...but 97% sf with only 18%dreb might have made him a tough fit

dbkc going with lower min 20-21 harden over his 79 d 14-15 season...thought that was interesting but looks like he wanted to get the most out of 07-08 deron

I'll be in before sunup. I was kind of waiting on 20ks since he said it'd be Thursday before he joined. My teams are pretty much settled... I might do one final pass over them before actually entering them tonight, but I might not. I'm reasonably unhappy with how they appear currently.
12/7/2023 10:33 PM
I have one team I feel awful about. I am needing to play Pippen like 25 minutes a game at PG where he is only like 97% just to get by on that team and it has so little threes.
