actually now that i look at him he may be good in about 5 or 6 seasons.  you should have took the first deal

still playing vock as a defenseman i see.  thought you may have given up on that by now

I think I've figured out how to make it work. Pluswhise, it puts an extra 125 OFF on every line. He gets more ice time that he would as a 3rd line RW. Strengthens whatever line DP1 is out with offensively.

As far as the first deal goes, I wanted to trade him for a scorer, but the teams that need defensive players didn't have a scorer of even near value. I'd have gotten more back if I had taken the 1st deal, but the LAST thing I needed was 2 MORE defensive players. I'm already playing Schoborg, Lorimer and Bogdanov (and occasionally Halleck) as forwards as it is.

I basically get the cash back I sent Speedy for my back-up/prospect goalie and a modest prospect.

at the end of it all, I end up trading Hilyar for Preddy and Thum.

Pitty, did you draft Thum, or pick him off the FA list?
