 I drank the Koolaid and picked this lowlife in my hockey pool..what a wasted pick...but remember anybody that throws the Hawks jersey on becomes 10x the player..i bet my Grandma with half a glass of wine is tougher than Brunette..

Hawks 0-3 in january... and they havent even played the tough part of the schedule this month.

It's all about chemistry...there's no denying Carcillo did exactly what he was brought in to do tonight, which is give Kane and Hossa space to work and make the opponent think about him more than the his linemates.

totally agree.  one game.  give carcillo time.  

I like carcillo, especially for his energy... but he is not THAT great of a player... and he takes a ton of bad  penalties.. of which he had none tonight, 

from reading hawks blogs it sounds like most hawks fans want him off the team now.  Wait for it... wait for it.... wait for it....

1. I'll give you that one. 
2. Your prediction was for Campbell to be tradeable last off-season. For all we know he wasn't then. It was the perfect storm with the cap floor, tallon, etc. 
3. What we got for brouwer is tbd, and bickell so far is looking better than brouwer ever did. 
4, 5 well see. 

Hardly what I would call "swami" predictions.



2.  we disagree.
3.  Brouwer (38 Games, 11 Goals/19 Points, +1, 122 Hits) , Bickell (35 Games, 4 Goals/8 Points, -9, 70 Hits).  hawks could definitely use those 122 hits right now ;)

Is Bickell still looking better than Brouwer ever did?  

4.  Frolik - 5 goals at the halfway point in the season.  

5.  Halfway check-in... 5 points separates hawks from the 8 seed, with a more challenging 2nd half schedule (and some injuries now - Leddy could be dinged up now too)....  I wouldn't write this prediction off. All offseason I talked about Craw being a 2nd year guy and they are putting a lot of pressure on him to perform (with more PIMs and worse PK teams)... I discussed the loss of Campbell (33 points this season in 40 games, 19 PP points) is a huge hit on the Defensive depth (and PP units) and that they are NOT better at D this season than last.  I predicted that filling your bottom 2 lines with enforcers was not the answer (they need skilled players that are gritty in the top 2 lines - like Hossa, Ladd, etc).... and that Hawks management overcompensated for grit and character and didn't keep enough skill in the line-up. What else... did I mention SOD sucks?  Or how about that Monty is way overpaid - He is a 5th Dman, no more?  Leddy is in over his head now - moved from the first pairing to the second.  I think he will be good in the future... probably a #3 type guy... but not yet.  

I may be cynical as hell about the hawks but I've been right about my calls so far..... ;)

a redwings and blues win tonight would drop the blackhawks to the 5 seed.... ut oh ;)

That was the most physical ive seen the hawks play all year. Great game to watch.
