In the meantime, I'd like to hear some feedback/discussion on the upcoming contract talks.

3(+1) seasons?

or

6(+2) seasons?

I personally want to go for 6(+2) seasons taking us all the way to season 20! (Others have already expressed interest in going this route as well.)

Curious to know what others think. Some of you I already know your feelings via sitemail..... others I don't so, well, what do you think?

I gotta ask yet another question I have been pondering. This concerns goalie TOI. My #1 Goalie, Siivola currently has 209:16:11 TOI. He has played significant portions of 8 seasons. I rotate my Goalies a lot, trying to see if the SIM lets one get hot, and at this rate Siivola could potentially play in 15-16 seasons. I know that any goalies signed after the 13th season will have reduced TOI, 250 I believe, but that could still give him 10-11 seasons on the team. Is this something to be concerned about, or should I just worry about the TOI?



I hate to keep bringing up these things, but I don't want to be caught doing something stupid just because I missed the memo.

I am trying to rebuild, so I am going to need at least 8 seasons more to make it past the second round of the playoffs 6+2 for me

Just one comment, OKP I enjoy this league so much I haven't even played in another since season 5 or so, just wouldn't have the same feel. All compliments to you, GREAT job my friend, GREAT JOB!

max, goalies are TOI only... don't worry about their seasons. Look on the trading block, Hollander of the Racers has a salary over 1.7 mil. I actually have a goalie who's an original member of my franchise, I only play him a few games every season... his ratings are such that he'll only ever be a good spot starter. So I plan to never retire him.

One thing you and all of us have to pay attention to regarding the goalie TOI rule change is......

Effective at the beginning of season 13, ALL goalies, new and old, who are over the new TOI career limits will be forced to retire. (250 regular, 350 if FP)

Like Damag said, don't worry about the seasons played of goalies.... concentrate on their TOI. If the way you divide your goalie starts gives them more available seasons to play, thats ok...... but with your strategy, yer likely gonna have to carry more than 2 goalies.... meaning less skaters which could mean less wiggle room for warehousing.

Thanks again Corbs! Even if I was the one to create our MLD, it would not be nearly as enjoyable if it weren't for the great group we have participating. With that said, I'd like to send out a collective GREAT JOB to every GM in the MLD!

Also, I've meant to say the following for awhile now.........as you all must know by now, Rammers has been a major key to the MLD's continued success. His efforts have lessened my workload and added to the overall enjoyment and realistic feel of our MLD. His Hall of Fame work and records keeping threads have been awesome! I get MLD GMs telling me all the time via sitemail that I'm doing a great job....... but I can't help but feel Rammers doesn't get his dues and should receive alot of the credit and compliments..... so to you Rammers, the "unofficial" co-commish... I'd like to say thanks buddy!
