Did baked chicken (egg buttermilk bath and coated with a mix of cornmeal and fried onions) and an old family pasta dish. Throw in can of stewed diced tomatos, bacon and cheddar cheese.

Breakfast was an egg mcmuffin and coffee. Like that McD's actually puts the cream and sugar in. Take a lesson BK!

Last night my uncle dropped by with Buddy's Pizza. Made a quick cucumber, sour cream, onion and a touch of vinegar salad.

breakfast oddly was a hot dog. Also got a lrg coffee at White Castle. on the way to work.

Was a little busy with some famial oblogations so I have not been updating my personal food twitter site.

Project for tomorrow. Got myself a big pork shoulder. Going to try an asian twist. Picked up some 5 Spice from a local asian grocery store. Marinated the meat in Jack and soy overnight. Going to dry it off and do a 5 spice rub tomorrow. Will let you know.

Wanted some comfort food tonight...Did Kluski style noodles and Campbells tomato soup. Grilled cheese sandwichs completed my blast from the past.

The Pork shoulder was good and bad.

Was perfectly cooked...very tender and a little crisp on skin side.

flavor was a little off. The pork was a little strong and the 5 spice almost dissapeared. The overnight marinade also didnt really impact as much as I had hoped. Since I used soy in marinade I used very little salt in cooking.

All in all a good meal, just not as flaverful as I had hoped.

We had some family over. Did baked chicken, simple egg buttermilk bath and coated with bread crumbs.

I made some Mac and cheese. Tossed a little Fourme D'ambert that I had over in to give it a kick

Also did broccoli with a hollandise sauce...didnt go over as well as expected.

There is a local super store chain in our area, Meijers. They sell a store brand white cheddar puffs that is really tasty, and dont make your fingers orange!

Have been experimenting with my over pork shoulder. Trying to use pork shoulder in place of other meats.

Did eggs with fried pork shoulder.

Did pasta fried with pork shoulder.

Did hash with pork shoulder.

And last did open face sandwiches with a gravy made out of the pork drippings.

I think pork is my new favorite meat.
