jborhman and dougpalm picked after schwarze last round. Thus they should pick before him in the tiebreaker this round. You stated before the draft that ties are in INVERSE of last round's order. Your order makes no sense with how we've been doing it.
Not sure what you are looking at jtpsops, but they did pick before me this round. jbohrman selected Steele at 3.1 and dougpalm selected Hershiser at 3.2. My pick was 3.3.

It has nothing to do with where they pick. Again. In Round 2, they all picked Ripken teammates. In Round 1, jbohrman picked a Boyle teammate, while schwarze picked an Evers teammate.

I really don't get why people are complicating this so much. After Round 1, owners are ranked for Round 2 based on the owner rank of the player they selected a teammate of, with ties ordered in the inverse of pick the round before.

So, my understanding is:

If the nominations are as follows:

Owner 1: Player A
Owner 2: Player B
Owner 3: Player C
Owner 4: Player D
Owner 5: Player E

And if picks are:

Owner 1: Teammate of Player B
Owner 2: Teammate of Player D
Owner 3: Teammate of Player C
Owner 4: Teammate of Player B
Owner 5: Teammate of Player D

Round 2 order would be:

Owner 4
Owner 1
Owner 3
Owner 5
Owner 2

Ozo can confirm if that's accurate
Repost for reference
You even referenced my post as correct. In my example, Owner 1 and Owner 4 selected a teammate of the same nominated player. Since Owner 4 had the lower pick in the previous round, he picks ahead of Owner 1 in the next round.

Look at ozo's revised order on the last page. It has you picking first, which contradicts his own rules.

Gotta be honest guys, I don't have time for this right now. I will address this further late tonight when I get home. I think Jtpsops is misunderstanding the rules but need to address this when I have room/time to think. I would, again, really appreciate it if there is not further discussion on this for now until I make further comment.

This doesn't make any sense. it took me forever to figure out how the draft order works. Now, I have no clue how ozomatli has me picking first?

The three of us all picked a teammte of Ripken. That's a tie. Why am I picking ahead of the other two guys next round since they got a later pick in the previous round.

I don't think there is any explanation that will convince me jtpsops' interpretation is wrong.

(That snake draft idea is looking better)

Yeah I have to say I'm with jtpsops here. Based on everything that's been said and done so far in this draft, the round 3 first picks should be:
1. jbohrman
2. dougpalm
3. schwarze
If that is not the case then I am (again) really confused on how this is working.

Not sure how I'm misunderstanding when you quoted my example for everyone and said it was correct.

I think everybody else interprets the rules the same way Jtpsops does. And I agree with him. We're doing round three EXACTLY the same way we did round 2.

Please stop guys :) I will address tonight. Thanks!

Cool. Another lengthy, unnecessary delay in the draft.

Sorry that this isn't a higher priority for me than work, Jtpsops. I wish WIS paid the bills but it does not.

I still don't get how the draft order in rounds 2+ work?

In your example on the other thread, you said the person who takes Gehrig (Ruth's teammate) picks first. BUt what if somebody else takes a different teammate of Ruth?
This is what I tried and failed at clarifying yesterday.

Ties will be broken by the prior round (i.e. the owner who picked lowest in the previous round will be highest in the current round, etc.)
Here is what ozo said previously. I’m interpreting the way Jtpsops is.

I think I understand now what Mike was meaning, but I'll leave it to him to say so I don't create any further confusions. It's fine to wait a few hours to get it all going again. And I don't think it will make a substantial change to anyone's strategies.
