honestly I can't watch basketball in 2020. I tried. I watched a bit of Suns-Heat today. The possessions are so damn fast. You don't even have time to play defense. They're probably averaging one pass. If they caught the defense by surprise, who cares? David Aldridge said it best on the Rich Eisen show: "85-84 could be a hell of a game if they really hate each other and every possession is a battle. It's not just about shot efficiency all the time! Part of why older people came to love the NBA was because the competition was so visceral and real."

Pretty sure that happened during the tepl, but I don’t remember specifics.

I grew up on 80's and 90s basketball, I think I am like the median age of people here. The basketball of the last 5 or so years has been the best I have ever seen.

i looooved the 05 spurs-pistons series as much as warriors-cavs...both were intense in their own ways

The 2016 Finals were dope as hell. LeBron straddling Draymond to get to the ball and getting him suspended was the highlight of the series. The chasedown block happens all the time but The Straddle and The Scowl were the ****. Straight up nasty and well earned by the Cavs. 2013 was awesome too.

THIS. @Amerk, this is exactly how I feel. No, I'm not happy about the huge delays, but a lot of life isn't what happens, it's how you handle it. Instead of being frustrated here and typing up hyerbole-filled anger posts, I decided to do something else with my weekend. As a result, I just saw one of the greatest passes I've ever seen happen in a critical moment of an overtime game. Like, it was like a Magic-*******-Johnson tier pass.

I've been watching Clique Productions do NBA2K20 resimulations to pass the time. Dwyane Wade got drafted by the Bulls in 2020, never made it to the playoffs. He signed with the Celtics in year 7 or 8, made it to the second round once. Then he bounced around to the Kings and a few other teams before basically retiring as alternate universe Starbury. And I thought our timeline was rough
