no kidding, but tang's point is valid. Someone who is mentally ill should not have the ability to legally purchase or own a gun. The fact that they do scares me.

I am not going to purchase a gun. However, I could be convicted of a crime and go to a mental institution and still be able to purchase a gun. Legally. The shooter in Florida had mental heath issues and was recently expelled. Yet he was legally allowed to own a firearm.

it would help a lot if the cowards allowed the reinstatement of the assault weapon ban.....while we pray for the victims and their families and friends lets pray for the souls of those who wont let the ak-15s be banned for purchase.

It is not just one person. This is a complex issue. BHO was in office for eight years and did not solve this either. In terms of "family" do you mean children and parents or grandparents, aunts, uncles, third cousins? What is your operational definition of "family" in this debate?
