family is parents or grandparents of kids with their parents..children.....brothers and sisters...not cousins..only the true immediate family....he wants to stop that....if a family is here of parents and kifds..then then the parents parents and the parents other children and the parents brothers and sisters.
it is a long process as it is...and it is costly...it costs thousands to bring someone over.

So............ for example. A dreamer young adult........... who was brought here illegally by their Mom or Dad............. can get a path to citizenship and THEN bring in the parent(s) (who illegally brought the family to the U.S. in the 1st place) through legal immigration channels. ??????

How many American citizens and VOTERS you think are gonna like and endorse THAT concept/idea!!!????
It's time we acknowledge we already HAVE enough inhabitants in these United States and STOP this age-old policy of allowing immigration to this Country by anybody who wants in!!!!

I'm not even mentioning ILLEGAL immigration in this!!

And while we are at it, let's throw out the statue of liberty and the constitution which say that what you are suggesting is against the very values our country was built upon!

Nowhere in the Constitution does it specify open borders for immigration from anyone who wants in!
In fact, throughout MOST of our history there has been some kind of restrictions on immigration.

Once we needed citizens. Not so much now.
Things change. Some may claim immigration for anybody as a "value" our country was built upon.
I would just say that several of the VALUES this Country was built upon have revealed themselves to be......... well kinda icky!

Banning immigration is icky.

some immigrants should be banned, but not all of them.

Thirteen Russians have been charged with interfering in the US 2016 election, in a major development in the FBI investigation.

Three of those named have been accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five have been accused of aggravated identity theft.

The announcement was made by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating alleged Russian meddling.

Three Russian companies are also named in the indictment.

The indictment says some of the defendants used computer systems in the US to hide the Russian origin of their activities.

"Defendants, posing as US persons and creating false US personas, operated social media pages and groups designed to attract US audiences," it reads.

Is it possible Putin's lying? Or is Mueller just a mental case? WHO KNOWS?!

dreamers and family reunification are different things.....family reunification starts with naturalized citizens or green card holders.

we have always had family reunification for many many decades...trump wants to strip away legal immediate family reunification and make democrat senators have to choose between dreamers and legal family reunification...that is the sophie's choice...understand it...every time he talks about cousins and distant family members he is lying intentionally to fool people...distant family members and cousins cant get here by family reunification and he knows that..that goes to his evil.
