Wouldn't it be more proper for sergei to have said: "How many Corey Haim movies have you seen?"

Mike, do you think that "in his lifetime" was a necessary part of that sentence?

I can think of two. Silver Bullet, I think he was in a wheelchair and fighting werewolves. The Lost Boys, Keith Sutherland was a vampire.

Yes.

I'm not the Grammar police.

Probably not.

Does Dr. James Andrews make a fortune through "Tommy John" surgeries, and would he have a vested interest in doing the surgery ahead of finding a minor problem that could heal without surgery?
3/10/2010 11:21 AM
He does make a fortune. There's this little thing called malpractice that would prevent him from doing unnecessary surgeries. And the fact that, if he was doing unnecessary surgeries, word of mouth would kill his business. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he has been known to say "Yes, it might heal by doing this but you'll likely have problems in the future. And, as you know, the shelf life for a professional athlete is short. Losing a year at 23 isn't the same as losing a year at 35."

Does eeyore believe you to be a physician?
3/10/2010 11:24 AM
He may. But that's more of an opinion question than a technical question.
3/10/2010 11:27 AM
why is eeyore so grumpy?

Someone was playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Mike: In HBD, owners are only allowed to include up to 3 players in a trade offer. Would you consider it some form of collusion for two owners to negotiate a 4-for-2 or 4-for-3 type of deal in trade chat, and then break it up into a pair of trades (each of them roughly fair and no-trade-rapey) on a 2-for-1 or 2-for-2 basis to complete the deal?

Foxx question...

I've now completed getting rid of the flyball turds on that team and got the team out of some contracts that in my opinion were unhealthy to someone taking over.

The team is younger, not better this year although it may sneak into the wild card, and I believe in better position to be good again in 2 seasons.

I've got 4 picks in the 1st two rounds, and have transferred over enough budget that I can probably sign them all. I've signed enough turds that my minors won't get fatigued.

The $64000 question; with the 4 rated fielding coach, I think the best risk/reward scenario is wait until the end of the season to sign any good fielding prospect. Bats and pitchers are developing ok. Can you think of a better solution?
