Believe me, I would like Area to be in the league and I think he will be in it eventually if not to start off, just is realistic around here that one of the owners we have on board wont be on board when it comes time to actually start the league.

A couple days late to the discussion, but my thoughts on anti-tanking rules.

I'm perfectly fine with (and frankly probably in favor of) rules tied to performance on the field. So win targets/floors, whatever I am fine with, whether they be individual season, cummulative over a few seasons, percentage based, improvement based, whatever.

I am (very) strongly opposed to any restrictions on player or finance management. If I can win 90 games with a team of Rule 5 draft picks while building a powerhouse through Int'l scouting/signings, so be it. If I can win 90 games with a natural DH at SS and a natural CF as my closer (good luck with that!) so be it. If I can win 90 games with 2 max contracts supported by a bunch of league min. role players, so be it.

Efforts at stopping tanking shouldn't restrict innovation. Tanking is tied to winning/losing (in large part for the high draft pick); anti-tanking measures should be tied only to winning/losing as well.
