What the confirmed idiot won't admit is that educated, well-off people don't need registration to be easier.   The dumbass sheep living in the slums because they "ain't got no job" can't fill out a simple form.    But, if they can get registered, they'll vote for the party that offers them handouts.

That's head in the sand stuff.  Of course there's a problem with making it "easier to register".

Right in front of me in line in Oregon years ago a gentlemen was able to register to vote when he got his license.  No citizenship proof whatsoever required.  A driver's license from another state is all that mattered.  I now live in Georgia and was required to produce a valid birth certificate and proof in order to get the license.  I know for a fact that was not so in the situation I went through before.  Maybe things have changed, but if anything, from the people I still know there, it's easier than ever to register - even if you're not eligible.

I realize that's anecdotal evidence only, but of course this stuff helps one side of the political spectrum.  I think it would be ignoring the obvious to think otherwise...

And again, you're making a leap in logic that you haven't backed up. You've gone from talking about making voter registration easier to saying "there is a move to make voting easier." The two are not the same thing.

Oregon law requires proof of citizenship (among other things) before issuing a driver's license. If someone at the DMV didn't do that you should have lodged a complaint. If the law is systematically being broken at the DMV you should definitely make some noise about it. Shoot Breitbart an email - I'm sure he'd love to send someone up there to do a video sting operation about it.

Well actually this is a tricky issue for me.

I would like voting to be easier. Someone suggested that the election should run for a full week and be in the summer to get voting numbers up. I could support that.

On the flip side I oppose anything that makes registration easier. I think that is the easiest way to promote voter fraud. Are you saying no dead people ever voted in Chicago?

In my mind if you are too lazy to register you dont need to vote. You can do it anytime all year. On the flip side only being able to vote one day in November is restrictive. Working people can change their schedules but why should they have to.

Dead people voting in Chicago is voter fraud, not voter registration fraud. No matter how much you want them to be the same thing, they just aren't. One involves fraudulent votes actually being cast, and the other doesn't.

So when an example of voter registration fraud was given, you claimed that there was voter registration fraud, but no voter fraud....when I gave an example of voter fraud, you said the opposite?

Are you confused or just explaining your point oddly?
