4 straight orbits, not hands. But still, all those shoves are pretty sketchy, and it's super unlikely he has you dominated...but gator's right, I think, in that it's more likely now than it was the previous times.

Oh, my bad, I thought it was consecutive hands.

Still, you can't wait for AA to make a stand. And he's gonna keep giving you a wedgie every orbit until you say "enough". Put it this way, at what point do you call?

If you're waiting for AA, KK, QQ, AK, you're gonna be chipped down long before that.

Well, here is what happened:

Needless to say I decided the second I saw my cards that if it folded to me I was raising and snap calling if he shoved again. I raised, he shoved, I called...he was holding 108 suited and spiked the 10.

Amazingly enough with about 70 or so players (this was about 30 minutes after the hand) I was sitting dead last. I decided it was time to make my final stand and pushed all in on 6 straight hands getting called only once (which I doubled) and was back to 1.1 million chips. With 50 players I was sitting back in the top 20 when I was dealt KK in early position. I standard raised and the big blind shoved (I had him covered by a little)...I called he had 1010...turned the 10 which crippled me...needless to say I mentally checked out and was out several hands later finishing in 50th place outta 14,500. Sick feeling losing like that but thats poker!!

That tournament also pretty much summed up my 2009 online which has been my worst year since way back in the party poker days. I cant wait for this coming mini FTOPs as Ive finally seemed to turn things around lately (Also, had a nice live score which replenished my online account). If that doesnt go well there is always 2010!

For anyone interested there is a 11+1 bounty deep stack at 5:30 which Im hoping to play if I get home on time.

I'm very fatalistic about tourneys where I get my money in good (anything greater than 2-1) and lose. I just move on.

The problem is at low levels (and at PartyPoker), you run into that in EVERY SnG because people push all the time, and eventually you'll get sucked out on. If I push and lose with KK vs. TT, I'll take those odds ALL DAY LONG, because I know I'm playing it right. Just like AQs vs. T8s. Sure, you'll lose 1/3 of the time, but most of the time, you'll bust him and get a big stack.

I've always had better luck in the $10-30 SnGs because good, solid, occasionally deceptive poker tends to be rewarded at those levels.

jesus.

It's all because you finally came on board, gin. Thanks, bro.

60-40 which is about what I thought it would turn out being. If the blinds were 5-10k with ante and you are sitting on 1M no way Im risking 100BB with AQ and if hes a sick player why is he shoving 80BB with any cards at all?

If the blinds/stacks are correct I don't like either of the plays at all.

I'm not on board. I only play to highlight how good you aren't.

Denial ain't just that thing where you refuse to acknowledge the truth.

And I have a very good handle on how good I aren't. If I was good, I'd be pulling a secondary income from this nonsense.

I think I'm staying in and playing poker tonight (9:30 pm-midnight est).
11/19/2009 2:23 PM
Thanks everyone for the notes on how you play your hands.

I used to love the 10 dollar matrix might try a few of those tonight if they still have them
11/19/2009 2:32 PM
I'll try to play tonight if anything to collect a couple hand histories that will lead to further discussion. I would like a post flop spot with more variables then the push/fold spots we have been discussing though those have been very good as well.

yeah i talk like I am good but in reality if I was that good I would do it full time.

I have done very well in my poker league here and ok in some of the tournaments i played in AC but I am not good enough yet to play the way I should in higher buy in tournaments.
