Something really good to listen to is Steve Winwood's recent John Barleycorn redo. I like it better than Traffic's original cut. The guy sounds better than ever. He was singing in Spencer Davis at age 15...

you have a great aunt....... but.what did she have against the stones.......there are a lot of great tull albums... all very quirky... i always liked a passion play...not the best...just liked it.
Quirky? Try Songs from the Wood. No one has written music quite like Ian Anderson. His voice is trashed now, but back then he was very good. He is a bit Olde English linguist, but the musicianship is superb.

One of my favorite live shows...

Maybe I'm biased. Or perhaps i like it because the crazy Asian woman here gets all hot and bothered when I turn it on...it is good to have a hobby...

I saw Jethro Tull in 1984, already past their prime and promoting some techno album, but I enjoyed the show. I was a fan in my teenage years, especially the first few albums. Then they had those over the top "rock operas" or whatever you call them, where they would spread one long wanky song over two sides of an album, and that kind of ended it for me. After all these years I don't know what "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath" are supposed to be about, but they still pack a punch.

Jeesh Dino.......... what makes you think the world (here at the WIS bulletin Bd.) is waiting/needing to hear YOUR top 10 Rock albums of 1970??
Were you even alive when they were released??
How many times have you even listened to the 100's of OTHER 1970 LP releases there are?

I'll give you a red star for enthusiasm though.
Tell you what, I'll do better. Take it from an old guy (in H.S. in 1970).......... IF you don't include the eponymously titled Ten Years After release of 1970------your list will be meaningless to most of us old fogeys who DO listen to rock still.

Wow, nearly 50 years after 10 Years After and the emotions have yet to subside! I'd hate to see how fast things will escalate when someone brings up Supertramp or Thin Lizzy or Simply Red.
