I think Surfer Blood is okay. I wasn't ever wholly impressed by it. The novelty wore off pretty quickly.

Just listened to it. I couldn't have been more wrong...it's just horrible. I mean, really, really bad. Sounds like the fu&cking Eagles...and not even good Eagles--like post-Hell Freezes Over Eagles. Soft, cheesy, lazy...it's a trainwreck
Wow. Damn, that sucks. Especially since I am about to see them in a month in a half. Oh well, the rest of the lineup is kickass.

As someone who passionately hates the Eagles, that is a pretty bad review.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan...and I certainly think they're really overrated. But some of their early stuff is still kind of all right, I think. Anyway--this isn't Take It To The Limit or whatever...this is all those crap Wal-Mart albums they've made in the past decade. Just whiny, high octave ramblings over some meandering acoustic melody.

I'd usually give a band like this a second listen...maybe I'll like it more the second time through.

I would've pegged you more for Lyin' Eyes.

Just listened to the new Archie Bronson Project...kind of disappointing. Robusk, if you've never listened to their first album--Derdang, Derdang--you really should. From what I can tell, it's really your thing. Loud, pounding, distorted, with some just awesome hooks.

Awesome summer for the Ann Arbor/Royal Oak/Detroit crowd. Did a little bit of snooping and I am locking in the following shows over the next few months:

Broken Bells
Passion Pit
Modest Mouse
Heartless Bastards
The Black Keys

May also try and go to Minus the Bear Sunday if I can make it happen.

Coupled with the amazing Toronto Island lineup, it could be one of the best live seasons I have had in ages.

Damn man. I can't even find that on my ultra elite torrent site that carries everything. Should figure out a way for you to send that to me. I never did figure out the most legit way to do that with the Garage a Trois stuff short of sending every song separately.

Nevermind. It is the Archie Bronson Outfit, not project. Got it.
