STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS 2009-10 Topic

Wasn't it just a week ago you guys got your as*es kicked by this same team?  I guess last week the playoffs were no lock for the Canucks?

Did you guys WATCH the game? The Hawks dominated the first 40 minutes and Luongo shut the door. That was pretty much the story. It didn't matter who was in the lineup last night, Luongo wasn't going to be denied. It may be crazy to say this early, but the Canucks might have won the Cup last night, if Luongo has really turned the corner. I can think of worse things than to have a Canadian team win it, but there's still alot of season left to play.

When the other teams in the WESTERN CONF catch up to the Hawks in games played.....The Hawks could be in 12th place in the west???

Playoffs are "NO LOCK" for the Hawks.

Better wake-up boys.

No team is a LOCK for the playoffs in December.  You're counting on a lot of teams to get hot and drop the Hawks down that far.

Glad to have your hate back in this thread, always gives me a chuckle to read your inane posts.

BUT JIM THE HAWKS JUST ARENT ANY GOOD NOW SINCE THEY LOST ALL THOSE SPARE PARTS!!!!

I wouldn't go as far as to say they only lost "spare parts"...Andrew Ladd and Kris Versteeg were very important role players for the Hawks. But like I've said before, they kept all the right pieces to remain successful for years to come.

I was mocking the retards.  Sorry for the confusion.

I was checking the standings.  Your Hawks better go on a big winning streak soon.  Fact is if the Oilers and the Flames each win their two games they have in hand on the Hawks then both teams will only be two points behind Chicago.

You did NOT just infer the Oilers were a threat to a Hawk playoff spot, did you?
12/5/2010 12:05 PM
the hawks aren't really in a playoff spot as it is with the most games played.  four teams with three games in hand and only one or two points back.  another one point back with two games in hand. the only team close that won't catch up soon is anaheim.  the west is just crazy right now.  three points separate third from twelfth.  calgary and edmonton might be at the bottom right now, but there is still plenty of time to get things going and catch someone for a playoff spot.  just as chicago could easily get it together and shoot back up to the top.  i'd say the only team currently safe in the west is detroit.  :>

No.....I was inferring the fact that the Hawks were much closer to the bottom of the league than they are to the top?

I'll be worried about them if they get 10 pts out of a playoff spot.

I'll also be worried if Kane is really hurt.  That didn't look good.

Yes, those are the retards I'm mocking.

For the record, neither Eager nor Burish were EVER considered character guys.  They both were at the top of the list of guys I wanted gone.  Ladd was the one guy I really wanted to keep from the group that left.  Buff was gone after this year, so we did well to get a 1st for him.

Good win tonight against Calgary.  Hopefully Kane isn't hurt too badly, but if he is, we're in deep ****.  Hossa's return would then likely be rushed and that won't be good either.
