Exactly.. What is the point of the clock?

I posted a pick that I hated the minute after I made it because I realized that there was a much better dude for that position but it was ruled (fairly IMO given the current system) that I was stuck with that - I think there is some parallel here in that our man made two selections one of which was wrong but still - I mean maybe we need another rule regarding picks made in error since it already happened even before this in this draft? something like 'a pick made in error will result in continuance of draft until you can get back in' - because to me (and I think a lot of us) the point of the clock is to speed things up not otherwise

Errors happen, there no reason to penalize

I mean, I didn't even know it was a rule until you pointed it out. We all agreed it was a dumb one and changed it moving forward.

Scud wasn't around anyway so it is a moot point.

but also true is that the draft is there to speed things up and not otherwise - which was the question posited - I aint got no horse in the race at this point anyway but the ask/answer seemed pretty obvious to me
