I'd have sprained a finger accepting that the second I saw it.
I don't like adding guys in their 30s.

Even worse, I don't like being a farm team.

Worse still, I don't like having my hand forced.

I saw it as you dealing from a position of strength and able to lure one of the top-5 players in the whole league as payment. You're still OK in goal with Levinthal and Bobak.

Pre-emptive move on Probie's part (I think). Kept Speedy from fixing his Achilles Heel.

I was JUST about to pull the trigger on an $85M loan to finish up my upgrades, but thought, "nah, wait until the income starts rolling in again. I've got players to re-sign anyway." Glad I did. We appear to be locked out in the Goon League.
