There are unconfirmed reports that defensive coordinator Bob Sanders has been fired. Sanders has been unavailable for comment.

There are reports coming out of Green Bay this week that the defensive coaching staff was at odds this season, with Sanders and some loyalists sticking stubbornly to their "scheme" while others were pushing for changes.

Way to stick together, boys!

It's weird, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel had an article this morning pimping Gregg Williams for the job, but every other media outlet was reporting that Nolan was probably the guy.

Well, Nolan has been hired by Denver and now Gregg Williams is apparently going to the Saints.

There's a local radio guy who feels McCarthy is reluctant to hire a strong assistant because it would undermine his own position... after all this foot-dragging on the D-coordinator search it would appear he has a point.

Capers plans to run a 3-4 defense, Winston Moss will apparently stay with the team, they think they have most of the pieces they need to play a 3-4, though various local media observers seem to think the idea of Aaron Kampman or Justin Harrell playing end in a 3-4 is ludicrous.
