Wayne State also.

Many have already purchased it. Its useful to see possible projections of players (not a big advantage to seasoned coaches), but it also keeps a great stat database and saves people a ton of time from uploading and copying tons of info to Excel. Its also cool to compare all players in a division, by overall rating and potential.

Yeah, the stats wasn't to big of a deal to me with only 1 team I follow. The projections of a player was pretty nice, but most people after a few seasons can get a rough idea of about how much a player will improve that season with x amount of mins in that catagory. I did like to compare players a bit though and see if mine was under preformaing and stuff for his ratings, but other then that I didn't see much use for it. Would be a nice free tool I could enjoy using a few times a season, but not for 20-30$. I can see some of the people who have a lot more teams using it and comparing players much easier and keeping stats though. Good work on it, but I'm still surprised some would actually pay for it. Not only because of the price that IMO is a bit high, but it is easily crackable as someone else already stated.

Anyways, on a side note is there anyway to just search by the best teams and not the best players? A way to browse teams overall or the entire teams ERI? I didn't use it enough to see if that was there or not, but that would be fun to see. I would be interested in something like that for schdling and stuff. I would look for the top type of teams who don't have much SR's and just load up with NT caliber teams if my team was strong that year. Or just follow the "best" team on paper and see how they do.

Team view should be re instituted in the next update. It was originally in the "beta" version, but I took it out before launch as I felt it needed some more polish.

Maybe they appreciate the hard work and time put into it?

As a fellow programmer/software designer I appreciate the hard work and ingenuity put forth. Hey no one is forcing you to buy it and yes I could have cracked it as well but I respect the work that has been done.
From someone that is new to HD it has helped me understand how each skill is affected by practice and what may work best for a postion. It also has helped me understand the balance between skils and WE that I can use in recruiting players.
Its basically an analysis tool. And for those who have said why would you do that instead of just doing the work yourself. Well I use a shovel to dig a hole because it is a heck of lot easier than using my hands. Its a tool meant to assist just like any other tool you might use.

There are currently a total of 7 Division III teams, and 2 Division II teams which are shown as the same team in HD Oracle (because they display the same name on the team cards on the WIS website). Thanks to those who have pointed this out, and I should have a fix this evening. If you were curious, here's a list of the teams:

Division III-
Concordia
St. Joseph's
St. Mary's
Trinity
Washington
Westminster
York

Division II-
Queens
Wayne St.

So when team view gets in is there anyway to search by team averages - Team overall/top rebounders/top defencive teams/top ath teams ect? I've always wondered how my brothers team compares to other div II teams in def, but I was not going to go look through every team and try to sort it out that way.

Any stat/rating could be used as a filter. The challenge is in finding a way to arrange them in a way that is usable (and fits!). I currently have sorting by OVR, POVR, ERI, PERI, OERI (Offensive Effective Ratings Index), and DERI (Defensive Effective Ratings Index) implemented.

Awesome. Searching by just OVR/ERI and stuff would be a nice add, but also getting to compare your teams to other teams by catagories and not just players would be cool to see in the future. It would let me know easier that my team does actually suck compared to most other div III teams and what areas are good and what areas I really need to work on. I do try to model my team after a few top coaches who run the same sets as me so I am getting a feel for what I should be going after, but this would let me compare my ath/speed/reb to the top programs a lot faster.

There used to be a team sort feature, I keep bugging him to bring it back in.
4/9/2008 7:39 PM
Alright, newest update fixes the duplicate team issue. After downloading the newest update, future downloads will correctly distinguish the teams.

Note: Use the cleanup feature to remove the old teams which had the same name (ie, "Washington", "York", etc..).
