Also, in fixing my spreadsheet, it looks like maybe happyhours is over the 500-IP limit as well? I have him taking 5 deadball pitchers that total 672 IP.
Football is correct 672 IPs.

These last two deadball picks pushed Happy Hours over the 500 IPs limit.
1915 Limb McKenry - 117 IPs
1919 Dolf Luque - 123 IPs

Happy Hours should replace these choices ASAP then continue off the schedule listed above. Then only 68 deadball innings will be available to Happy Hours.

I don't understand why 1909 Bob Spade (Rd 17) is being dropped and not 1919 Dolf Luque (Rd 20)? Is

Whoa.
I think we all appreciate happy and others stepping in to finish off these drafts. And no one is accusing anyone of anything untoward. We‘ve all made mistakes. The pace of these drafts can be intense and the sharks in these leagues snipe every player and every strategy you might think is safe. So, frustration is the name of the game….although I still enjoy the competition.

I think the solution as proposed above and agreed to by schwarze is that happyhours drops his last two deadball pickups and replace them. While 1909 Bob Spade might not be the most sought after player, I agree with Chewy that allowing someone to go further back in the draft to make a replacement further screws with the integrity of the draft. The ripple effect of a player being put back into the pool disadvantages everyone who has now picked afterwards. So the more recent the replacement, the less the potential damage.

Well said.

I’m not one of those ‘spreadsheet’ guys.
What does happyhours’ salary look like with McKenry and Luque replaced with 85 Franco and 91 Charlton? Does it change his drafting position in this last round?
2/27/2026 3:50 PM
I am at Cubs game. When njbigwig gets back, he can post the correct draft order.

2/27/2026 4:01 PM
I believe this is the revised rd 20 starting salary for happyhours
Original Rd 20 Starting Salary $ 110,514,689
Less McKenry, Limb 1915 $ (2,542,384)
Less Luque, Dolf 1919 $ (2,826,062)
Add Franco, John 1985 $ 2,476,195
Add Charlton, Norm 1991 $ 2,671,042
Revised Rd 20 Starting Salary $ 110,293,480

Thanks. (And while I don’t use spreadsheets, I do understand math and could have figured it out - just being lazy). Anyways, it doesn’t look like that draft order is affected. Chewy is up. jtpsops can make up his missed pics anytime.
