I've never watched a Star Wars movie, nerd.
And do you also never see movie trailers on TV, or entertainment news?

I know who Carrie Fisher is but have no idea who plays her daughter in the newer movies.   The last SW trailer I recall is the one with the red guy, trekkie.

Does it possibly say something about the quality of an Alabama education that radkisson watched the newer Star Wars movies, which are prequels, and thought that it was Princess Leia's daughter (played by Natalie Portman) despite the fact that near the end of the third movie she gives birth to fraternal twins named Luke and Leia?

Would it be safe to assume that you never noticed the following inconsistency in the two Star Wars trilogies?

In the first trilogy, when Luke is about to tell Leia that she's his sister, he asks her what she remembers about her mother.  Leia responds with something like "I remember she was very beautiful", or something like that.  Yet in the second trilogy, we see that Padme (Leia's mother) died while giving birth to Luke and Leia.

So how could Leia have any memories about her mother, if her mother died while giving birth to her?

Hehe.  That's funny.  Alabamans who watched SW don't even understand the movies.  Or how big of nerd they are.   ROLL TIDE!!!!!

It would be very safe to assume I have no idea WTF you're talking about.  However, I do get a better idea of where you are on the Dork Scale.

By the way, here's a Padma I recognize.  I think she has a cooking show and a Hardee's commercial:

I wouldn't accept an offer that is blatantly lopsided unless I was playing to cover some win requirements.   I'd waive some high-priced, last contract year guy and hope he gets claimed.
I do have a $20M pitcher that has severely underperformed his career numbers and has 4 years left at that rate.  I assume someone will claim him, will they be responsible for all the salary if I waive him?
Actually, the non-waiver deadline is tonight.  Would it be ethical to put him on standard waivers and have someone claim him when the owner might believe he is on revocable waivers? What happens if a team claims him but doesn't have payroll space?

did you know that extensive longitudinal research has recently shown that 38% of all relationships end as a direct result of the donkey punch?

Prospect, seriously?  WTF???

Evidently not.

If you make the claim, it's on you.  I'd have no regrets if someone claimed someone and got him even if they didn't really want him.  The way to prevent that is to not make a claim.   If he doesn't have enough payroll, he can only be dealt to that owner.

I did not know that but I find it quite believeable.

I have no idea what you're yammering about.

Do you scout each team before you begin a series? If so, what are the main things you look for?
1/15/2011 10:23 AM
Sometimes.  Catcher usage and batting vs. R/L.    I can increase/decrease my likelihood to steal bases and adjust my rotation to make them face a handedness.  Other than that, I just let the players play.
1/15/2011 11:37 AM
When adjusting your rotation, do you go by the other team's hitters split ratings or by the team's overall vsL vsR BA/SLG%?

What do you mean by Catcher usage?
1/15/2011 12:04 PM
OPS.  If a team hits righties or lefties substantially better than world average, I'll attempt to use the other handedness pitchers.

Some teams use two catchers.   Some use them as platoons.  Others use defensive catchers to stop running games.  Others don't have a C capable of stopping SB.  It's an aspect of the game you can change based on one player on the other team.

I'm having a brain fart; is it 6 or 9 cycles before FA demands start dropping?
