What a mess in Colorado.....

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/politics/colorado-gop-chairman-steve-house-is-getting-threats-from-donald-trump-supporters

Just an observation... The national backlash is going to be HUGE if Trump goes into the convention leading in votes, wins, and delegates and doesn't get the nomination. HUGE.

Seeing that more than 50% of GOP supporters do NOT want Trump as their nominee, the "national backlash" isn't going to be nearly as big as you think.

It will probably be more like a national celebration.

Just an observation.... They are not celebrating in Colorado. Protests scheduled for tomorrow. The Colorado GOP Chairman has already received over 3000 phone calls, emails, etc... some threatening.

3000 phone calls? WOW.

How many people live in CO? The US? How many of those calls were made by Trump?

Trust me, there will be no massive backlash. Trump's fans will follow his lead and throw a hissy but that's about it.

I think Trump fights like a Democrat. I'd expect the kind of coverage Missouri got with the protesting students, or Chicago after the Laquan shooting. Unrest and pressure until change is made, someone's fired.... That kind of stuff.. The media would eat that up and you know it. It won't take a majority of people to inflict desired results. Like Democrats, it will only take a loud minority. Maybe I'm wrong.

Just an observation, Trump supporters are stupid, whiny, babies (like their leader). They are too dumb and lazy to be bothered to learn the rules of the party they belong to.

I think that Trump knows the rules. He just doesn't think that they should apply to him because he's DONALD TRUMP.

But yeah, his supporters are generally stupid. That's his base.

I don't know. If he knows the rules and he actually wants to be the nominee and he's capable of running an organized campaign, there's no reason for him to **** the bed so hard in CO.

So, in my opinion, one of those three things isn't true.

I've felt all along that I was not 100% convinced that he really wants to be President. That this all is possibly an act that is a means to some other end. Maybe to get some sort of leverage at the RNC to get something in return. What that might be, I have no idea. But his campaign is so far outside the norm of what we've seen in the past, it's hard to figure out exactly what his goal actually is.

Or maybe he's just nothing more than what he is portraying himself to be, a massively egotistical *******.

Either is likely.

I've always felt he was looking to expand the Trump brand. I really thought he felt he had no chance but would get TONS of free publicity and, at some point, he'd announce the opening of the new, luxurious Trump Resort in Dubai or some ****. Perhaps, at some point, he realized he did have a shot and now feels there is no better way to expand the Trump brand than to be President Trump. Anyway, no one will convince me that Trump hasn't been in this for any other reason but for Trump.

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
Donald Trump jumps to an 18-point lead over Ted Cruz this week with record high support for the Republican nomination.

Trump tops Cruz by 45-27 percent among GOP primary voters in a new Fox News national poll on the 2016 election. John Kasich comes in third with 25 percent.

Three weeks ago, the mogul was up by three over Cruz: 41-38 percent, with Kasich at 17 percent (March 20-22, 2016).

Forty-five percent is a new high for Trump. The previous high was last month’s 41 percent.
