Speaking of the draft, I need to hit a home run. However unlikely that is given my position.



One of my pet peeves is that the columns aren't sortable on the prospect page.

Depends on what you need.

It's pretty deep in goalies again. If that's what you're after, one should fall to you, if not, maybe a run on goalies will squeeze your skater down to you.

there is only one goalie i'd take, I think. I wish there was a special ability for goalies. Like Clutch or Shootout Specialist.

If I didn't already have three young goalies, I could probably bring myself to take one of the top 7-8 guys picking 17th.

I only see about eight teams that are truly set in goal for the next four years.

Plus there's the Sitto factor. How many guys thought about taking him last year, passed and facepalmed when he rang up 11 SHOs and put his team in the playoff loot?

Breakaway/Shootout specialist, cat like reflexes, butterfly/positional wizard. I get the feeling the developer wasn't a goalie though.

how badly do I need to find offense?

The goalie who got the bulk of the work(Leonov) played in 24 games. Had a 1.58 GAA, a 93.6 save % and had 6 shutouts. And yet had a record of 12-11.

Interesting to see how everyone starts positioning themselves in season 3. I don't know about all of you, but I have potentiall 13 contracts coming off the books after season 4, depending on who I want to re-sign.

Yeah, next offseason is nut cutting time. Everyone will be free of the four-year contract mistakes they made when they first signed up.

I have eight contracts up, six of my originals and both my big free-agent signings from last year. Didn't want to go long-term for almost $8M 'til I saw how much difference they made.

I have all but 3 guys with expiring contracts after next season. Sitto is the only 100% lock to be re-signed. The other 19 may or may not be brought back, depending on how they progress through the off-season practices and/or their performance next season.

In short, I may have a completely different roster for the start of season 5.

Crap. I'll probably end up resigning a bunch of my guys to one year deals so I don't have to get too crazy after next year. I'll need to find a new coach though.
