C'mon people - sign up! There are great hitters like Hornsby, Sisler and Foxx - plus - great pitching from Dazzy, Dizzy and Carl Hubbell (who invented a great space telescope but had to wait many years for the technology to launch it into orbit). In addition, the era was great as there wasn't a single team nor a single player that dominated.

Hey Yaz, why is it that when you list the great hitters you mention Hornsby, Sisler, and Foxx and totally leave out two of the 3 most expensive (and best) hitters of the period - Ruth and Gehrig?
