A touch low on DUR, if I'm reading correctly, but otherwise a really solid pick up... a COF-quality bat with a SS-quality glove.

Is he one of the "undecided" guys?

Yes iain he was. His DUR is what really scared me (44-73), and still does. I am waiting for the 4th pick to sign, no one saw him except for like 2 or 3 owners (all with way less scouting then I), and they are saying he is a projected 94 overall.

I like the GBRH for 2 reasons. #1- I like makeup and his is going to be 99, which, to me, means he has the best chance of reaching his potential and perhaps beyond. #2- his vRH is the highest of the 3. Since there are more RHBs than LHBs, this has always been a rating I want to be high. His vLH is a little low, but OK. But it looks like you got a very solid offensive player, even though he may only be good for 120-130 games a year. I've got a guy with that DUR, and he just dropped to 99 FAT after playing most every day thru game 105 or so.

Once again if I didnt have bad luck in the draft I would have none at all. The best player, a projected 92-95 overall went 4th, and I never saw him.

and that is why the scoutng system sucks.

I must be looking at it wrong, but I see a future SS with a huge bat.

Ya I'd say good pick. Durability and health are a little low but should be a good one. Is he a College guy or HS?

20/20 probably wouldn't have made a difference.

You'd still miss guys at 20/20. All 15 means is he's probably not as good as you see him as. Could be better, but conservatively, he's probably a little bit worse. He most likely won't match his defensive ratings. I've seen a lot of players like this, and none have ever met the recommended for SS (pretty much 70s across the board in hitting and fringy SS defensive ratings). You could probably play him there, but he'll probably end up a little shy.

I like your player more. He won't be the hitter or steal bases, but he should be plenty productive, and with his defense -- even if he doesn't hit his projections -- means that he should play up the middle either as a fringe SS or a stellar 2B or CF, maybe even a 3B if you don't have other options. Plus his makeup is through the roof.
