A trade to announce between the dodgers and athletics:

The Dodgers receive OF Jose Canseco and Oakland's 4th round pick.

The Athletics receive OF Rickey Henderson, the rights to P Rick Honeycutt, and LA's 6th round pick.

Since I now have the full rights to Shelby, do I lose a Draft Pick or still get 8?

My understanding is you own the player now... I made a deal in the other league with Jon Garland and he became a full Diamondback without having to use a draft pick...

You do not lose the draft pick. You just gain the player that you traded for the full rights to.
