Way to go CAP!!! Not going to be the top conference but with Mandingis coming back to the fray, we will be just fine in the future... Going to have to talk to my assistants in regards to our recruiting class being out of the top 20 this year!!!

Interesting set of charts, Red. I always love a new set of statistics. I'll see if I can do better with next seasons class, and also see if I can make my one guy this year, make a liar out of you. I understand because of the low rebounding and low LP why he's down on the chart, but I still think with his Speed, PER, BH, and Pass, that he's higher than you ranked him.

Just noticed this thread. Nice job and thanks a lot for the work. It's a very fun read. Don't take this as sour grapes -- I just thought you might be interested in some feedback.

Where does my recruit Matthew Ardoin fit into your system? I thought he was the better get of my two. I'm pretty surprised you like my point guard as much as you do.

Matthew Ardoin came to campus with:

58 athleticism -- which is 12 points better than anybody in your top 5
45 speed -- 1 point better than anybody in the top 5
34 rebounding -- 8 points *worse* than the bottom guy in the top 5
5 defense -- 8 points *worse* than the bottom guy in the top 5
56 shot blocking -- 3 points better than anybody in the top 5
62 low post -- 13 points better than anybody in the top 5
20 perimeter -- places him between 4th and 5th in the top 5
1 ball handling -- the next worse had a 14 rating
32 passing -- places him between 1st and 2nd in the top 5
40 work ethic -- places him between 2nd and 3rd
67 stamina -- places him between 1st and 2nd
30 durability -- which hopefully you aren't rating at all in your formula

I'm guessing that you aren't really penalizing my guy for a very mediocre perimeter rating and 1 ball handling rating.

So that probably means you're really penalizing him for the rebounding and defensive ratings.

I'm *not* saying my guy necessarily belongs in the top 5. But I find it pretty hard to believe he wasn't in the top 25. Here is your top 5 along with my guy and the #25 recruit as well:

Once again, red, very impressive. Glad you put the time in for this! Makes me feel like an inferior coach though. You say I get good recruits yet I never make that deep run.........
