ANd I wouldn't argue with things being arranged so people could play a bit MORE< but not all at Fairly Fresh.

Then they should cut the ST numbers down initially then, because I'm completely with Rob here....if the highest rating 99? 100? doesn't allow a guy to play at least 35 green minutes, then what's really the point of the ST rating?

This thinking is the problem. The assumptoin that somebody who is in great condition won't ever get tired. You could put Lance Armstrong on a basketball court and if he ran up and down the court for 35 minutes he would be tired for portions of the game.

Then what does/should a 99/100 ST rating mean/be worth? If the guy can't play the full game, and there are guys out there that play the full game, then what's the point of allowing guys to achieve a "perfect" ST/DU rating?

I have a 100 ST guy who will play 40 minutes in a game. I set it at "Foul trouble only". And when I look at the PbP he will get tired but not below tired.

I think that is working as it should. Nobody is going to go 40 without getting tired, regarless whether they are at 100 or not. (Maybe in the pre shot clock era playing a four corners offense)

My problem is with the complaining players so I make that 100 (and my 99) St guys only play 31-32 minutes, at least until the CT.

If 100 meant 100% then why can't a guy with A+ free throw rating make 100% of their free throws? Or does A+ not equal 100%? I know there is about an 8% difference between free throw rating and shooting percentage, but why can't stamina work the same way? How many players can really play a whole game at top speed and effort without getting tired? Richard Hamilton who once proclaimed that he has the best stamina in the NBA has even gotten tired. If a player is really giving the effort then he should get at least a little tired.

But how many minutes should be able to play at FF?

I think its at about the right amount. UNless you want to claim that players just don't get tired in games.

Pretty much those elite players in real life would be set at 'Foul trouble only' anyway. If they had percentages instead of descrip[tive terms, half the problem would be gone, because everyone seems to have different definitions of what 'FAirly fresh' should mean. Its a subjective term which is hard to quantify. And not knowing the in game effects. . .

25 Mins at most. If you want your guys to play more, than change your setting and stop complaining about something that isn't a problem. Set your guys to getting tired or tired of you want them to play 30+ minutes.

Just for discussion....what if a team plays a slow down offense and zone defense....isn't a player less prone to fatigue than under normal circumstances? Think of all the play stoppages as well.

Also, I think 25 is a very low number...there aren't a lot of guys out there that can play a full game fresh, but there are some. Check out some pickup basketball this summer and I'm sure you'll see guys out there that can go all day, fresh.
