Building the bump-n-grind m2m team Topic

My Wisc-Superior just finished a season with 6 freshman plus a walk-on, and allowed 29% 3PT the whole season - even though I played -2 and -3 in most of my games. The key was having 3 guards / SF's with defense ratings of 63, 79 and 87, respectively.

Don't get me wrong - REB is still a great-to-have, esp for your big men. My point is just that you can build a really good M2M defense in D3 from the inside-out or outside-in
This last statement is certainly true. But keep in mind that your defensive positioning only has a minimal impact on rebounding.

Certainly not.

What if it was 10 triangle, 20 FB? Just trying throwing out weird ideas here. Have there ever been FB-m2m teams?

Maintain competitiveness while being able to run the new offense in a year or two.
