Here's a breakdown of the available teams:

AL North

Former Toledo Franchise (65-97)

Even with a stable ownership situation this team has struggled in the tough AL North. With a team batting avg of .272 this team was able to hit however there was a problem getting runners across the plate once they got on base. Ernest Dougherty (26, 82, .324) & Cy Keats (28, 82, .266) led the hit parade but can use some more help to get this team back in the hunt. The bigger concern is the pitching staff. Only closer Bip Stieb (18 sv, 2.90) showed any real consistency as the hurlers posted a 5.41 era with no pitcher hitting double digits in wins but 4 had 10 or more loses. The farm system can offer some help for the offense however there is little pitching talent to aid the ML club. This team needs a veteran hand to help rebuild the talent throughout the organization. Someone looking for a challenge and that likes to totally rebuild a franchise will find this to be a perfect opportunity.

AL South

Former Texas Franchise (85-77)

This storied franchise with 10 playoff appearances and 5 WS rings has put up consecutive 85-77 records while missing the playoffs both seasons. For the 3rd straight season a leadership change has occured and the hope is the next owner can once again get this team competing on a yearly basis for a WS trophy. A .286 team batting avg, 4 players with 30+ HR's, 3 with 100+ RBI's show that this team will not struggle to put runs up on the board. 5 pitchers had 10 or more wins and Pat Yamamoto had 34 saves giving the appearance of a solid staff. However a team ERA of 5.03 clearly shows changes need to be made so that the pitching staff will not waste the offensive production. Any help on the mound will need to be found outside the organization as the farm is bare of pitching talent. There are some talented position players in the MiL system so moving them or some of the ML guys could be done to help pick up an arm or two if the new ownership prefers to avoid the FA market. With a few additions to the pitching staff this team could once again fight for a title or some of the offensive talent could be moved to help restock the depleted farm and solidify the teams future. This team is set up nicely to move in what ever direction an owner prefers so it will be a good fit for any veteran owner no matter what his preferred strategy upon taking over a new team.

This is a very solid world with a strong neucleus of veteran owners that can boast little to no drama and very little turnover each season. The new season will start quickly as we find quality owners to join our world. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a stable world to join.
Great world, we will be starting in the next day or so. Don't miss an opportunity to join a fun, competitive world.

One opportunity left for a veteran owner with the knowledge to compete in a solid world. It's surprising this team is still left since a team in need of a rebuild is usually just the kind of project most vets are looking for. If you have a proven track record and know how to build a team from the bottom up this is your last chance to join us. The season will begin as soon as we find the right candidate.

Here's a look at the team available:

7/15/2010 11:37 AM
While what's hot? Are we now offering women to get new owners? If so, I'm dropping my team so I can return and get one.

That makes two of us...

As soon as I get confirmation on this new offer I'll post both of our teams. Let me know when I can get a look at the ladies we are choosing from.

Toledo's 1st rounder from two years ago is a Catcher with projected 77/83/100/58/63 hitting ratings...and 3 years ago was a LF with projected 86/74/62/80/80 hitting ratings...a couple of great young bats to build around

The lawyers are ruining this world. With no hope of taking advantage of the free hot chick offer I once again return to banging the drum. Top flight competition in a drama free world, except for a commish that just burst my bubble can't think of anything negative to say about this group.

We're going about this all wrong.  Here's what we should do.  We need to exclude some random ethnic or religious group for no reason.  Then in all likelihood they would demand to be allowed into our world which we would grudgingly have to accept.

Nice, I think it should be anyone with 2 t's in their user name. Wouldn't be an ethnic or religious reason but any exclusion seems to get people all fired up.

oh...and being in the AL North means you get to beat up on PeteC...the self-proclaimed "dominator"...if that doesn't push you over the edge...nothing will!
