I completely understand where you're coming from sly, but I think the draft was setup now so that we could be ready when the players are actually dropped. I understand that you want to see things like DEF ratings, but those basically mean nothing anyhow...therefore, I guess I'm openly speaking out against your stance, because the intent was to get this thing going from what I gathered. How hard is it to pick LBJ btw...you could at least freeze us up at #48, not #1.

But he isn't necessarily #1.  He just gets the first pick of which slot he wants.  I think his point is that he wants to see how everyone looks before he decides if he wants #1 or #5 or whatever.

But really, you're like looking at 5 guys at #1...and LBJ and Howard are probably the most obvious...if you don't pick one of those, you're going to look like a chimp anyhow...delaying until the players are released (and we don't know when that will be) is silly. They've (almost) always drafted before the players "dropped", always.

Sorry it bothers you c19, but I think you'll just have to get over it on this one. I'll get a great player in the first five obviously, but I think picking earlier in rounds 2 and 3 MAY be beneficial. So picking 5th might be more attractive to me. But I can't know that until I see the players.

Yea, colonels19 - it isn't a question of which player he'll pick at #1, it's a question of whether he wants to pick 1st, 5th, 20th, or whatever.

Although I own the #2 Pick I want to wait for the release, because Dwight isn't a lock to me. It may be Durant, Deron ...  Second: If there are more valuable Frontcourt player available than PG's THEN I would pick a PG first.

yea....i wanted to get us started as quickly as possible....but now that i think about it, it wouldnt make much sense to pick a draft slot without knowing what the player pool looks like....so im fine with sly waiting

I think they are going to announce tonight on ESPN2 at 9:00 their decision on when the new players will be released.

BREAKING NEWS: All the 09-10 players are going to Miami. Look for them whenever LeBron decides they can leave.

I really liked this league, this idea, wanted to be apart of it......but I'm going to pull out now.  The wait got to me.  I'm drawing a line in the sand and not joining any leagues in any sport because of this.

Of course, this won't mean **** to the wis management, will it.
